Berthoud Boy Scouts Troop 6 Prepares for the Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser during ‘Berthoud Days’.

Berthoud, Colorado (MEDIA INNOVATIONS) May 3, 2008 – Berthoud Boy Scout Troop 6 is proud to announce the preparation is underway for the annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser during ‘Berthoud Days’. One of the special events of the ‘Berthoud Days’ Celebration is the traditional Pancake Breakfast brought to the community by Troop 6 Boy Scouts.  The breakfast will be at Depot Park (3rd street ) on June 7 from 6:30 to 12:00 am.

The breakfast tradition is probably best known for bringing the community together under one roof in the early morning hours.  Billed as one of the best deals around, the breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, eggs, and choice of drink – all this for $6 for adults and $3 for kids.

“This year the boys were accepted to go to a high adventure camp,” said Mike Henning Scoutmaster for Troop 6.  “Philmont is recognized as the premier adventure camp in Boy Scouting.  Many former scouting families in Berthoud recognize the name and know the quality of the program.  The Pancake Breakfast during Berthoud Days continues to help support the Troop’s involvement in programs like Philmont.”

This year and for many years local businesses and organizations have supported this breakfast.  Hays market, Albertson's, Safeway, and King Soopers have all participated over the years to support the community and Boy Scouting.  Of course we could not put an event of this caliber on with out the use of the Lion's Club facility and generosity.  The support of these community businesses and organizations is much appreciated.

Last year the breakfast was a great success.  With added cooking capacity, this year's event should prove to be even better.  Audio of voices from past events can be found at here (warning: this is a 4MB file)
